30 focused minutes beat the 8 hour marathon
Motivation is unreliable; calendars are not. The learners who finish roadmaps share one trait: a small daily slot they protect. Thirty focused minutes every day compounds to fourteen hours a month. One heroic weekend a month gives you eight, minus the forgetting in between.
The mechanism is spacing. Every time you recall a skill after a gap, the memory hardens. Cramming skips the gaps, so the knowledge evaporates within days. Daily reps also keep the activation cost low: opening yesterday's lesson beats restarting a cold course every time.
Make it stupidly easy to start. Same time, same device, phone on silent. Set your Sabifirst hours-per-week honestly at two or three and let the roadmap schedule itself around reality instead of fantasy.
Track streaks, not hours. Mark each lesson done, watch the progress bar move, and let the streak do the motivating. Consistency is a system, not a personality trait.
